Omg. THIS is why Mamdani is calling for "free" childcare. It explains why the rich folk can't see the pain of the poor. We show up to work in clean clothes, not panhandling on the interstate. We don't LOOK like what they think poverty looks like. We need to change the definition of poverty. NOW.

And Mamdami isn't even "dems". He's firmly in the progressive camp. I wonder if Turnip's trying to "own the establishment dems" by supporting the party's fault line. Because he dam sure isn't doing his GOP minions any favors opening being kind to a Muslim Socialist.
