In 2007 Larry Page and I described Percina williamsi that is now protected as Threatened by the ESA. Having been cited only 13 times this paper will never likely contribute to my h-index, but it remains one of my favorites. Photo by Caleb Moses.

2/3 Pleased that our discovery of a new population in the upper Collins River, documentation of the extripation of the species from Hickory Creek using museum specimens, and demonstrating the threat caused by the expansion of the closely related Fringed Darter is heavily cited by the USFWS
