Lovely blue skies over what is probably Manchester's oldest surviving textiles mill. Medlock Mill started spinning cotton in 1794 but today stands disused and derelict under threat of major demolition works.

Impromptu site visit last Friday to Fowberry Tower, Northumberland. (grade ii*). Originally a 15th Century tower house heavily altered and extended c.1776 and with a new south front added 1809 in Gothick Revival style [pictured]. Sadly I couldn't get any closer.

Little Temple, Temple Newsam (Grade II*) - Built c.1765 as an eye catcher, part of Capability Brown's remodelling of the estate. Today in a very sorry condition and on Historic England's Heritage at Risk register.

Copgrove Hall (GII) built c.1821 to designs of Pritchett and Watson for Thomas Duncombe. The 1821 hall replaced an earlier house to the south and is set within grounds and parkland designed by Thomas White c.1760.
