They want to migrate it off cobol because they don't understand it. Forklift migrations of entire codebases are only done by idiots who don't respect what came before and aren't curious enough to ask questions. It will be an abject failure in subtle ways that require years to dig out of.

If they are saying that they revoked her visa then how can you also say it was expired? You can't revoke an already expired visa

Stories of guys own wives getting deported and not regretting their vote. They're not going to care about the new immigrants and will definitely pull the ladder up behind them.

Might be harder to apply lessons learned from how silicon valley deals with labor when you deal with unions and no visa work allowed.
