Public health professional in STL. Human, dog, and plant dad. Probably thinking about #AllForCITY and crying about #COYS
Let’s hope we are in for some substantive offseason news soon! 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Agreed on Critch. Definitely seems like they want to bring in someone with more experience and keep him as an assistant

Do we know pick order yet?

How wee are we talking? The small brown bats are unlikely to carry rabies but the big brown bats (still small) are the ones to worry about. The small ones will have likely migrated for hibernation but big ones could be looking for spots in houses.

? Why would that not count? I think the point that’s being made is that the few Latino players City has rostered were all identified through recruitment in Europe and the US. We don’t have a meaningful talent ID operation in Latin America and the team would be better if we did
December 8, 2025 at 2:53 AM
Pretty sure LAs entire midfield for MLS cup as well as Pec and Garces who I know started were all Latino. Not sure this is the point you thought you were making

Richard Splett is also another A+ guy

I’ll miss the Hackworth who was working with our coaching staff, academy, and CITY2 team. I will not miss the Hackworth who was impacting first team roster decisions
December 5, 2025 at 9:08 PM
Glad he got a soft landing cuz he’s obviously a great guy but also glad he’s not a part of the club anymore. College soccer or a development team feels like what he truly wanted. Bringing that approach to constructing a first team roster was very problematic.

And agreed that Wray hiring someone he has a past with gives the appearance of going against his mantra from the intro presser about process and doing things the right way. He’d have to be far away the best candidate to be worth the risk cuz it has potential to spoil things quickly
December 5, 2025 at 4:48 PM
I get that Montreal was a less than ideal situation but he certainly had more control over his circumstances than Wray. It’s easy for me to dismiss the Montreal stint for Wray but not so much for Courtois
December 5, 2025 at 4:44 PM
Agreed about Razov - has me curious. And yeah, none of these options are gonna wow anybody because there are a lot of unknowns with these names. Just gotta hope Wray knows what he’s doing. Surely we can’t do worse than Olof.
December 5, 2025 at 4:04 PM
Problem is the only success Laurent has is with a Crew2 team that by some miracle had like 5 national team level players. He doesn’t have any assistant coach experience like the other guys and some of them had success as interim head coaches
December 5, 2025 at 2:26 PM
Yeah, that’s fair. I could see Razov being a fit as well. Damet probably too many growing pains. Not sure I understand what Rob’s tactics would be cuz in my mind Atlanta has always just been a feed the DPs team
December 5, 2025 at 2:24 PM
To me, his resume is only better than Critch’s because he doesn’t have the depth that the other guys have. I’d also rather see us playing like the systems Damet and Razov are working in now than what his Montreal team looked like. Rob’s national team experience is a plus but no idea his tactics
December 5, 2025 at 4:58 AM
Why do you feel that way? Is it his experience or tactics? Not sure his first team coaching experience really differentiates him in this list because he had pretty limited success.
December 5, 2025 at 4:51 AM
This is yet another indication that Wray is moving us towards systems instead of personalities. I like the list but it’s definitely not flashy and it’s a 180 from the Olof hire
December 5, 2025 at 4:39 AM
He’s who I’m most interested in right now too. LAFC has also been the most consistently successful MLS club since they were formed and he’s been there for all of it
December 5, 2025 at 4:37 AM
So far Wray is making me very confident he is going to at minimum significantly raise the floor for the clubs performance. Maybe we don’t win the conference while he’s in charge but I think he gets us out of the gutter quickly and keeps us out
December 5, 2025 at 1:21 AM
Lots of guys with deep experience in successful MLS clubs but no big names. This list is pretty close to a 180 from the Olof hire. Nice to see the club is maybe leaning some lessons
December 5, 2025 at 1:14 AM
Kessler has been posting pics on instagram of him in STL and seemingly at the training facility. Every app notification I think is them announcing his return
December 4, 2025 at 12:17 AM
Agreed on Allende.

Timo seemed to just be having mental/confidence issues. Not the only guy that struggled to regain form after being with those Chelsea teams. I’d guess hes got physical issues now too after so much time not playing
December 3, 2025 at 7:55 PM
Watching him score a few goals from impossible angles and then miss dozens of sitters for Tottenham still has me upset lol
