Went in the one in Nottingham on a stag do once (not my choice, honest guv) and bumped into a lad I was at school with, dining with his wife and two children.

He doesn't have quite that effect on me, find him a bit irritating but not offensive. Corden on the other hand is pure turn off the telly, unplug it from the wall, throw it out the window then set it on fire material.

I have occassionally watched The Wheel, and my view on it is that it's an excellent quiz show format hampered by McIntyre's involvement, but some enjoyment can be salvaged if there are enough high calibre celebs involved.

It’s ten years since I worked in public affairs for developers but even then our assumption was that opposition campaigners would use pro forma templates so our priority was getting people to write individual letters of support or - even better - to speak in support at committee.

We have them in Manchester. Spotted some in the field behind my house over the summer.

Whenever I visit Leicester I often think there's essentially two types of housing that dominate: red brick terraces near the centre, and council estates further out (in areas like New Parks) with a mix of semi-detached, terraced and low rise flats (but all built with similar materials).

Yep. I had a similar experience listening to some recent Kate Nash stuff after hearing she'd gone in quite an interesting direction. Hadn't heard her for a while so had forgotten how grating the vocals are and sadly only made it a couple of minutes before switching off.

Found it unlistenable for the same reason. Guess some people must like/tolerate the vocals but I can’t get past them.

I can’t find the clip, but a few weeks ago (before the United mini renaissance) Nick Ferrari compared Badenoch to Amorim when interviewing her on LBC and she gave every impression of having no idea what he was on about.

This has been doing the rounds on planning LinkedIn over the last few days. Viability assessment by a small developer in the south of England.

Top scorers 2 seasons ago were Vardy (18 league goals), KDH (12) and Mavididi (12). Vardy and KDH have gone and Mavididi has been out of form and/or injured. Our 3 strikers don't look like scoring double figures between them. Meanwhile we haven't had a secure looking defence for 5 or 6 years now.

AKA the ‘Mark Lawrenson at the 2010 World Cup’ approach.

I was on the other end of this kind of interview a couple of times while playing in bands. You come across so many miserable, cynical people that personally I always enjoyed talking to someone who seemed to actually like music and musicians.

Loved seeing more of him at OT this year, long may he continue!

My enjoyment of it is only tempered by the fact that Lovejoy is (somehow) still a fixture on weekend morning television.

It's almost two decades old but I re-read this review of Tim Lovejoy's autobiography at least once a year. www.wsc.co.uk/the-archive/...

He's a snob, which I guess understandably rubs some people up the wrong way. But I can overlook the snobbery for the same reason I can overlook it in Alan Clark's diaries - he's self-aware enough to ham it up a bit.

I read Out Of Sheer Rage recently because I vaguely remembered someone on here recommending it, and having seen this I now realise it was you. So thank you! I enjoyed it very much and its the sort of thing I wouldn’t usually go for.

This brand based in Accrington made an exact replica of that shirt a couple of years ago. Sadly a very limited run and I didn't manage to get one. www.trickett-england.co.uk
