My first time growing corn!
I made plenty of mistakes--planted too close & didn't thin, overwatered for weeks so the stalks were tall and the roots shallow causing them to fall over in the wind--but I still ended up with lots of delicious corn.

Okay, I should have waited until I had collected more sap, but I was too anxious to see how it tastes. And it tastes fantastic!

My wife gave me a scroll saw for Christmas and asked me to make some mountain-inspired art. I used poplar and red oak from Lowe's, and whatever wood was in the round frame from Hobby Lobby.

While on vacation, I had so much fun with my son's thermal paper camera, that my wife bought me one for my birthday.

Here's the latest on my gnome linocut. This is a test print with cheap ink on printer paper. Also, I attached a 'ghost print' with areas circled for improvement.
My oldest son suggested adding moon. He even made a paper cutout to demonstrate the idea! What are your thoughts? Moon or no moon? 🌙

Finished carving my gnome linocut. Well, I finished carving the main linoleum block. I want to try a multi-color print, so I have a few simpler blocks to carve.
I'll try some test prints this weekend and see what needs to be fixed.

Here's an early linocut print I made using cheap tools and ink. While I still stick to affordable materials, they've definitely improved since then. I don't often showcase this piece because, quite frankly, it's sh*t
