They traveled on foot, on the top of trains, in storage trucks with little air and high temperatures, and still they came. To work on lands that were once ours. To take care of the fields, your lawns,your homes, & your children. Through it all, knowing what you truly thought of them. Good luck.

I can truly say that I'm proud of the profession I've chosen, and of those I'm fortunate to call colleagues and even friends. We bear witness, we advocate for the vulnerable, and we truly rise to meet the needs of the moment. Stay strong, Friends. You're never alone.

You can do all the right things and still have a negative outcome. As a Social Worker, one of the things that comes with the job is to bear witness to my Veteran's pain until they're ready to heal. As a friend, I can be there until you need me again even if you never call again.

Of course, you realize this means WAR! 🤨
