It was included in a collection of young authors, poets and literary freaks in a series of CDs around 1999/2000. Practically I had my debut on digital directly abmbd was contributing to a few online blogs writing about games, pop culture and sound.

This was for all purposes a lost work that was only available in its manuscript form with cutups & cut and paste from a real CD Player manual (those where the days of shiny rainbow CDs!). It was originally published in Romania as an e-book on a CD to be read with a 'dead media' Microsoft reader.

Aha, I've mostly seen the cafe latte & yellow variants.. Hm, altough I might have spotted a dark colored -aethalium once.

a common misidentification in this article
What you got there is a dog SICK slime mold (Didymium spongiosum). Unlike its close relative the dog VOMIT slime mold (Fuligo septica) it prefers grass to dead wood & deposits calcite on its cortex rather than piles of microscopic chalk balls. Also the surface looks like weird crumpled grocery bags

An insouciance in regards to powerful self commodification and advertising feeds. Maybe time to be read it through Jamesonian cultural logic of late capitalism extended to the computational and why not even prefirguration of Out of Control, Fast Company and later ouroboros & loopy 2015+ till now.

It's unfair that it was debated just by y combinator, cognitive sci & EA forums. It's eminently visual & infographic. Has something of Warburg, Jurgis Baltrušaitis and Gombrich for me. Also preparing the Mandelbrot and cyberdelic fractal somehow.
