The gov requested a stay of a magistrate's order requiring it to turh over grand jury materials to Comey because of prosecutorial mistakes. While the judge granted the order (albeit a shorter one than requested by the gov), the gov's motion contained a typo in the HEADING.

In July, Trump said the ballroom construction wouldn't interfere with the current building and that it would be near it but not touching it.

Here is a picture of his view of non-interference taken today.

Remember this name -Will Scharf.

He’s the WH staff secretary & head of the Nat’l Capital Planning Commission who okayed the demolition going on NOW at the WH saying the board doesn’t have jurisdiction over demolition or site prep work for buildings on fed land.

It’s awful.

Huh??

Giuliani spokesman claimed Rudy was flagged down by a domestic violence victim while in NH and "rendered assistance."
But the victim was in the southbound lanes and he was going north. So she flagged down a car going the other way on a major highway? And did he leap over four lanes to help?

UGH

Trump criticized US museums for talking about how bad slavery was & not emphasizing "Brightness."

In his outrageous attempts to rewrite history, how will he "brighten up" a museum like the Nat'l Museum of African American History & Culture? Talk about how pretty plantations were?

Kim Davis, the clerk who refused to issue marriage licenses to gay couples, has asked the SC, in a cert petition, to overturn Obergefell, the decision extending marriage rights to same-sex couples.
My prediction - the SC either won't take the case or will not rule on Obergefell.

And of course Trump just fired the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics because he didn’t like the jobs numbers- pathetic, weak move by a baby who can’t accept the truth.

OMG

I can't wait to see the actions Trump takes against South Park and his inevitable Truth Social post - this is savage.

Pam Bondi just fired the DOJ's top ethics advisor with no reason given- I wonder why?🤨

Read his LinkedIn post about his service.

The lunatic-in chief announces massive tariffs on copper. Since we can't develop new mines or restart old ones quickly, this will raise prices, disrupt supply chains and increase costs for consumers and industries.

Happy 4th of July from NYC!
July 5, 2025 at 3:30 AM
It's TACO time again.
Karoline Leavitt said Trump’s July 8/9 deadlines for restarting tariffs are “not critical" and could be extended.
Then she said if countries didn't negotiate, Trump could just unilaterally decide on a deal - in other words, he'll just say there's a deal.

Typical Trump lies

1. The US Northern Command as well as Mayor Bass confirmed the National Guard was not on the ground in LA at the time of Trump's post.
2. The President CANNOT unilaterally ban masks at protests.

The gov is complaining bitterly about conditions in Djibouti where has housed some migrants (due to an order requiring the gov to give the migrants due process SOMEWHERE).
But the admin has CHOSEN to keep them in Djibouti - it could fly them anywhere as long as it keeps control/offers due process.

Trump is once again trying to ban Harvard’s ability to enroll international students, this time through an EO.

Even though the courts have enjoined the admin from removing Harvard from the SEVP program, Trump is relying on national security concerns as a basis for his actions.

Everything he touches turns to ashes.
June 4, 2025 at 1:31 PM
Applicants for civil service jobs will now be required to write 4 essays showcasing their loyalty to the Constitution and the President's EOs. I'm willing to bet AI will be very busy writing some of these essays.
June 2, 2025 at 9:22 PM
Whoa - Trump's gone off the rails.
June 1, 2025 at 3:14 AM
Pam Bondi has just told the American Bar Association it will no longer have access to vet judicial candidates.

I assume this means the Trump administration is about to nominate some true stinkers as judges and is trying to limit the fallout.
May 29, 2025 at 8:58 PM
The Trump administration has asked the Fed Circuit Court of Appeals to stay yesterday's ruling by the Court of International Trade blocking many of Trump's tariffs.

The admin has said if the court doesn't rule its way it will seek emergency relief from the SC tomorrow.

Judge Burroughs will leave the TRO blocking the gov's attempt to stop Harvard from enrolling ANY international students in place (she will replace it with a permanent injunction).

However, I believe the gov will attempt to bypass this ruling by blocking individual foreign student visas.
May 29, 2025 at 4:27 PM
This is just sad. Not giving visas to specific students who might be involved in activities antithetical to US interests is a good idea.
A ban on students just because they're Chinese and/or studying in critical fields is myopic and flat out wrong.
May 29, 2025 at 3:29 AM
While it is routine for judges to extend deadlines, Judge Xinis REFUSED to extend the gov's time to respond to a complaint b/c (i) it asked for it at the last minute, (ii) it gave no rationale and (ii) there were 5 hearings on the case & the gov never suggested it needed more time.
May 28, 2025 at 3:49 AM
Canada is NOT considering the offer. Trump is like the ex- boyfriend who, in spite of being told “we are never, ever, ever getting back together,” still stalks his ex insisting it’s a possibility.
May 27, 2025 at 11:44 PM
Another Trump easily debunked lie. The administration issues all visas for foreign students and Trump could simply ask his own agencies for a full list of those at Harvard.

Maybe he could ask Kristi Noem to provide it after she finishes her cosplaying in the Middle East?
