While it's obviously developed as a means for advertising agencies and marketing depts to cut corners and save money without having to hire artists, the motivations for this type of egregiousness always comes from a place of contempt. They hate artists while simultaneously wishing they were them.

In the end, it's your band and your show to handle as you please, but I just wanted to present my thoughts from the other side. Thank you.

My last two cents are, one of the reasons I enjoy live music so much is making my own art with the fleeting moments from the show. Chasing that perfect lighting moment or that action shot brings such joy to me.

Also, there are fans in other countries who will never get the chance to see you live. No footage allowed is the reason I'm boycotting the current Ghost tour, and I am not pleased to hear this is happening with this tour as well. (2)

I am very disappointed and upset to learn that fans cannot take video or photos during the show. As someone who talks up the bands I love to people I meet, the show footage I get is huge in "sealing the deal" and making them interested in checking out the band. (1)
