it was also nice to remember that, as much as I do love the mermaids and magic and fantasy of project, I do have so much fun making small mundane moments interesting through character acting

Any creative project, especially animation, takes immense amounts of time & energy. It's important to remember that, as fun and fantastical as it all may be, this is still WORK and work tires us all out. And that's okay! We're only human, and I wouldn't want it any other way.

Things are finally settling now though, and I can feel myself coming back. Animators started working again last week, and knowing Sirenetta is in their capable hands has let me take a breath. I can look ahead now and make sure the rest of production is smooth and mindful.
