GONE, BARNSTORMERS, THROUGH THE BOUGHS, LOVE EVERLASTING

Last night I mourned the passing of my thirties with some amazing pals and danced until the Dark Lili (Legend, 1985) costume I made at the last possible second with foam, velcro and a glue-gun, literally fell apart. Bliss.

The New York Guggenheim was rather spectacular yesterday. Even on a drab day the light filled the space with interesting shapes and shadows.

Very excited that I got to do another logo for Vertigo for their relaunch! Keep an eye out for A Walking Shadow from @aaroncampbellarts.com and @sispurrier.bsky.social!

Lovely morning hunting for fossilised shark teeth.

Somehow, I blinked and ten years flew by since @sispurrier.bsky.social and I got married. What a glorious, silly, fun day that was! And what an amazing decade we've had.

Had a lot of fun designing the logo and early concept pieces for @emmavieceli.bsky.social's incredible musical, Unfolding. Two more shows to go, so if you can, get down and see it! I've loved seeing how Emma adapted it for the programme, and even added to a drum kit!

I saw the Jenny Saville exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery last week and I still haven't gotten over the impact of the brushwork and the sheer scale of the paintings. I'd never seen her work in person before, and it blew me away!

I've been really enjoying reading, 'Tiggy Thistle and the Lost Guardians' by the excellent Chris Riddell to my son. Especially the little Easter Egg headshot of the third, 'Stiltskin' brother...'Trumple'.

Very excited to have got a copy of Hero Slam: The Card Game in the post today. Greatly looking forward to learning how to play with the kids! Gorgeous looking cards from the mind of @jamiesmart.bsky.social.

Here are the illustrations for Dry Dock and CRUMB without the text, so you can see how the day/night tones shift between the two scenes. I also altered the Dry Dock rocket position a little for the final layout, to allow for the text.

Last year I illustrated the label for Northdown Brewery's alcohol free beer, Dry Dock, and they loved it so much that I got to adapt it for their latest release, CRUMB! There's something great about being able to revisit a concept and shift things to fit a different perspective.

I did a variant cover for @sispurrier.bsky.social and @vanesadelrey.bsky.social's new Image book, The Voice Said Kill, #4! This is such an awesome story, Vanesa's art is killing it, and the twist is sublime. I also did the logo and book design. Such a fun project! share.google/svKU6kHhQzfl...

Yesterday we found a patch of 'boiling sea' and 'quicksand' on the beach. (Most likely actually a natural spring and it was freeeeezing!) Nature is weird/amazing!

There we go, one Looshkin for #WorldBookDay!
March 6, 2025 at 9:20 AM
This is what World Book Day is all about, right? Frantically painting Papier maché masks at 10pm for your 6 year old. (With apologies, @jamiesmart.bsky.social) 😬
