Remain by Nicholas Sparks and M. Night Shyamalan

2.75/5 not the most exciting book. Easy read though.

Modern Lovers by Emma Straub

4/5 good neighborhood drama and relationships within them

Gifts - Scottsdale tea company
Self - clipper tea (or stash, if I’m in a pinch)

Lastly, when I travel, I sometimes pick up a tin of loose leaf.

Little Bird by Darcy van Poelgeest, et al

5/5 relevant, tense themes

Peep some of the alternative cover art and “behind the scenes” details in the back of the digital and hard covers

God Help the Child by Toni Morrison

4.5/5 thoughtful. quiet yet serious nature.

The Late-Night Witches by Auralee Wallace

2.75/5 cozy but dire stakes with witchy elements isn’t really for me. Got confused with the lineage.

Dead of Winter by Darcy Coates

4.5/5 very slasher-like where I was screaming at the characters for their actions

Can someone with fuck-you money buy out this annoying ass billboard? It’s been there since at least Q4 2022.

I just realized that the Dead of Winter (novel) and the Dead of Winter (movie) are not at all related lol.

Which is fine but the covers are kind of similar and and have the same name! They’re both thrillers with a killer.

Anyways, silly me.

Red Rabbit by Alex Grecian

5/5 now that’s how you write a book. The efficient world building, clever tie-ins, horror…who is the real enemy here? Would read again. 📚 💙 #booksky

This is strange, but I haven’t been able to take a good group photo in probably over a year.

I don’t mean that I look “ugly”, just awkward and out of place. Eyes closed, hands in the wrong place, just missing the point. 3 examples:

Could switch this baby with a cat and it would still be accurate @newyorker.com

“The Dallergut Dream Department Store” by Miye Lee

4/5 I loved the concept and made the capitalistic theme of dream purchase very palatable. Some book topics didn’t make sense or add to the story, but was very entertaining.

Women of Good Fortune by Sophie Wan

4.75/5 interesting heist!

Pageboy by Elliot Page

4.5/5 Elliot narrated this. It’s sad how people again and again are abused and/or discriminated against in Hollywood.

The Dinner by Herman Koch

3.75/5 no heroes, no lovable characters, and I’m super fine with that. Whole book gave that uneasy feeling. Interesting concept! I picked for my Around the World book challenge for the Netherlands.

A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas

2/5 didn’t care for this one

[SPOILER] Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

5/5 crazy mf heist with that spider man ending? Was not expecting that from a YA novel.

I also want to thank the #TinyBookshop game for advocating.

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

5/5 adventurous and nostalgic for gamers and nerds. Curious what the second book is about.

In Five Years by Rebecca Serle

5/5 I enjoy main characters that have questionable…morals. Still heartbreaking, for all friendship/romantic relationships. Major triggered warnings, so check that first.
