Just sharing my Art Gallery costume to share some joy with folks. It's something that I plan to continue workshopping and fixing up for future years #artsky #halloween

Mock-up version of my art gallery Halloween costume. Many more mini pieces of art to be added. Would welcome tiny art from others

The fuck up in my book snake coincided with the start of 2 months inability to focus on any book or audiobook. As I began catching up on the knitting, my enjoyment of books has returned. Go figure.

Is it weird that smelling my floss has been the game changer in getting me to consistently floss as an adult? Granted we're only going on a couple weeks but the bad smells I got when I only flossed sporadically were a big motivation combined with knowledge stoneycreekdental.ca/post/why-you....
Why You Should Smell the Floss (perio breath)
While it might be a little gross, smelling your dental floss can provide valuable insights into your oral health.

Taking a break from knitting Cuthbert and knitting emotional support chickies! Still struggling to find audiobooks available on the platforms I have and that I can stay focused on. I already listened to at least 40 this year. In the meantime, podcasts are taking over!

Looking for audiobook suggestions that are on Libby, Hoopla or Libro.fm
I am theoretically game for any genre but top 3 would be fantasy, mystery and historical fiction. My reading challenge on Storygraph got me this far with good ideas, but I am starting to run dry. #booksky

I just discovered an error in Cuthbert...a book that somehow I didn't get on my list so it didn't get knit. And of course it's about 10+ books back that I need to undo! 🫣😩

Also have to share that my neighborhood has some additional sidewalk joy. The Bridgerhen Coop Little Library is halfway between a Free Little Library and treasure exchange...chicken themed. And it's only a block away from me so it gives me so much joy. #sidewalkjoy

I did some tinking (iykyk) I HATED the light pink and ended up switching it out for a varigated color. I also went through WAAAY too much effort for one book that was equally history and science. Usually I can decide which genre it fits better if it has multiple labels. Not here #booksky #booksnake

As a result of working on my booksnake, I am more aware of when I cluster books of my comfort genres. I was liking the more random patterning and I don't want too many big chunks so I had to force myself to make other choices. It's going to be an interesting result regardless

Check out Cuthbert! The speed of his growth is due to audiobooks, but I am able to engage with a wider variety of content this way. I bet that all my nonfiction will be audio! Not loving the color of the latest stripe but I was determined to use yarn from around the house. #booksky #booksnake

I was in St. Paul for 5 days for an amazing training with the Ideal Center at the Science Museum and during that time I managed to swing out and visit 6 Free Little Art Galleries! Apparently I can only post four photos though.

Over the last 4 years, a number of people in my area have talked about building their own Free Little Art Gallery, but I think the one that I heard about most recently will actually follow through which is pretty exciting. #freelittleartgallery #artsky

It's Women's History Month and while I haven't arranged the gallery as nicely as I sometimes do, I have put in several pieces to honor women in history.

I'm a dork, but I'm stupidly thrilled that my comment about Representative Stauber made it into the end of the episode. Another rally/protest this Sunday at 2pm, same place. If you're making a sign try to focus on his support for the budget resolution aka drastic cuts to Medicaid and food programs

Thank you #wdio Baihly and (I am so sorry I don't remember the cameraman's name) from The Lift did a great job. I don't know that I necessarily interviewed any better than in previous years but the editing and camera work was awesome. www.wdio.com/lift-online/...

Free Little Art Gallery is a compact collection of creativity
A Free Little Art Gallery in Duluth's Denfeld neighborhood is a compact collection of local creativity. And it's all free for the taking.

Reading a mystery, listening to a mystery. I guess I know what color my next stripe will be. Well... not the very next as I have some catching up to do- but Cuthbert is looking fine.

Just finished listening to "We'll Prescribe You a Cat" by Syou Ishida and decided that I needed a dose of cat myself. Hogan at Wired Whisker was just what the doctor ordered. He chose my lap twice

(Not my pattern) but I am starting a book snake to document the books I read this year- different colors for different genres. Doing stockinette stitch for audiobook and seed stitch for books that were in print.
Debating which genres to pair together to limit colors- like mystery/thriller

We're trying to figure out the name of a children's book, would have been read to her in the 1940s and had a cat named Obadiah in it. Help us out #booksky
