Sorry this happened to you! One hack I found was to walk through the walkways to BART instead of using the airtrain. But it can be a long (10-15 min) walk.

Calling it the Wiener tax is ridiculous. I don’t think he did the right thing by exempting restaurants, but the restaurants themselves are to blame for this terrible system of extra surcharges
