“By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes.”
I never would have thought such an odd comment would hit so hard. I’m almost in tears here. And also…hold on…..is that my own appetite?? (Cue the Welcome Back, Kotter theme)

Slight caveat being in the case of those apartments only being leased to retired Nazis (and I humbly suggest there are far more of those around than there should be in 2024).

Similar highjacking of ‘mainstream media’. How talking heads on Fox (etc) and pundits with a million followers can clutch pearls over a boogeyman msm is amazing. Assholes, you ARE the mainstream media. Words just don’t mean things anymore.

2024: left-leaning America, this year’s elections are your to lose, no end in sight for the batshit MAGA weirdness. Just, you know, don’t say and/or do stupid shit.

The Democratic Party:….heh, hold my beer.

We need to start a grassroots push to persuade Musk to buy/ruin LinkdIn. If we are killing off social media platforms, that’d be a bit of a two-fer.

Therapy is an excellent suggestion. I’m no professional in the field of psychology, but it seems harboring such an overt obsession with other adult’s genetalia, and how they are used in private, is worth exploring. After that, perhaps tackle the ‘pedo around every corner’ fantasies

There was an article on this topic (it’s been a couple years, so I submit this with a grain of salt (no sources)), specifically about how very ‘book smart’ logical thinkers are prone to conspiracy belief, and while I cannot relay specifics at this point I can tell you it made me feel deeply uneasy.

Human use tools to make art, which, for better or worse, includes technology. We are (quickly!) headed to a point in which people will be able to write elaborate prompts that generate very close to what they specifically envisioned, thus AI becomes a tool like paint brushes or Photoshop.

But, devils advocate, if a person creates a specific prompt that is a sum total of an idea or a message they would like to convey, the results is not entirely without intent. AI images are sort of weird limbo, I guess. Something different than pure imagination, but also not created in a void.

I’ve been catching up with a ton of old Neighborhood Listen episodes that were locked behind Sticther Premium for a while. I swear, everything PFT touches is pure gold.

Yet, in some dumb corners of the mediasphere, we currently have yet another round of pearl-clutching over the dark minions known as Swifties.

I try to put it in context of my own youth and imagine the 80’s rightwing declaring war on Tiffany. For some reason, it still kind of tracks.

This is where a Bluesky DM feature might come in suuuuper handy, lol.

I’ve had several different brands over the years, and I’ve yet to find a set that beats Bose. I’ve used Beats and AirPods a bit, and like those brands, but Bose sound quality and noise cancellation are top tier.

Yep. Buh-bye.

They would trip over themselves kicking the EC to the curb. All that standing on ceremony, ‘we must preserve the visions of the forefathers’, etc, really only matters when they are getting those sweet, sweet W’s.
