Our new paper is out — and already famous for its wild 5×2 design (forehead slap included 😅).

We looked at how combining constructive tasks with retrieval boosts learning. The key finding: the sequence doesn’t matter, but the constructive retrieval combo works.

How can we support learning when self-control is most taxed—such as during online learning or long study sessions? Our new paper in Computers & Education shows that developing interest through emotional design reduces mental load and enhances sustained learning, especially under those demands.
