Haven’t seen these Maxell UEs before, I spotted them at the op shop today. Straight into the blanks collection.

Love the orange one! I found this blue one a couple of years back. They're great!

Just finished The Soul of a New Machine, highly recommend it to anyone into vintage computing. It’s a wild dive into the madness of late '70s computer development, following a team pushing limits in a high-stakes, make-or-break race. Obsession, brilliance, egos and chaos. Give it a read 😅

Finally finished a project that’s been in the works for a while: my custom-made wall clock! Mostly 3D-printed in PLA, with stainless steel rods connecting everything. Super happy with how it turned out! There’s something so satisfying about bringing an idea to life & seeing it on the wall.

Seeing all the amazing pixel artists here has inspired me to give it a go myself! This is my take on an old riverside home not far from where I grew up. Always thought it had a certain charm, so I wanted to capture it in pixels. Let me know what you think!

Accidentally produced a sculpture setting up these 3D printed parts for painting 😆 This is for a custom wall mounted clock project I'm working on. I'll share more as I go.

When I got a 3D printer, I went all in on modeling wacky tray accessories for this tiny Subaru Sambar—missile launchers, a cannon, even a battle wagon straight out of a ‘90s cartoon. One of my favorite projects, and a fun way to learn my way around 3D printing & modeling.

House renovations and life have been keeping me from my usual tinkering and retro projects, but in the meantime, please enjoy this deeply unhinged duo I found. They’ve clearly seen some shit.

Here's a little preview of the project I've been working on 💡

Spending the day at one of Tassie’s amazing beaches, we're seriously, we’re spoiled for choice here. 🌊

Haven’t been posting much lately, but I’ve been deep into some fun product design and 3D printing projects. Can’t wait to share what I’ve been working on once it’s ready.

Sorting through my old phones, I came across one of my all-time favorites: the Sony Xperia XZ. This phone served me well for over five years, a true workhorse! Back then, you could find Sony phones everywhere in Australia. These days, though, they're much harder to come by unless you import one.

I'm such a sucker for a nice scientific calculator, especially a Casio one 😎

PC fan jammed in a window = The perfect nerds AC setup 😎😆 Note: I've placed a scented candle in front for added comfort.

Spent ages diagnosing why my amp wasn’t outputting to the speakers, only to find the homemade speaker cable was stuffed 😆. Always the simple things! Used the chance to clean up some solder joints and ordered proper replacement lamps. Tried LEDs but hated how they looked.

Just grabbed this cheap electrolytic capacitor kit for some breadboard tinkering. Brand name? "Aoqdqdqd", looks like they let a cat stroll across the keyboard or perhaps they borrowed inspiration from my file naming habits 😂

Picked up another one of these digital watch kits! This time, it’s all about reverse engineering. Feels like the perfect simple project to dig into! I'll share my progress over the next few days, including PCB scans. Stay tuned!

Collecting (if that's what you call it) takes space! 😅 Threw together this wall-mounted shelf out of MDF for my electronics workbench. It's a quick, slapped-together build, but it’ll do the job for all my storage needs!
