I was putting on my Apple Watch and a cockring about the same time and suddenly wondered… would that work?

And yes, an Apple Watch can measure your pulse and spo2 from your junk. (Though my blood oxygen was reading at 91%, so probably not the best location for that.)

Twenty years ago this week, at the Harbour City Bears Bear Essentials (the week before the Sydney Gay Mardi Gras parade) I met a bearded fellow from New Zealand... who would one day become my husband.

Is it just me, or is "seated heats" the best spoonerism ever?

I love putting together odd facts in ways that *might* mean something.

Like: Fact 1: The odds of a woman giving birth to a gay baby increase with the number of pregnancies she has had. Abortions and miscarriages contribute.

Ok, we all sorta know that AI companies have trained their LLMs on heaps of books/content they didn't have a license to.

ButI hadn't realized that Meta had acquired more than 70+ TB of books via *BitTorrent*. arstechnica.com/tech-policy/...

Meta’s alleged torrenting and seeding of pirated books complicates copyright case.

Good reading - actual data rather than hysteria.

Palm oil really isn’t that bad. Beef is still terrible tho.

On AliExpress right now. Hagrid and the sorting hat. It’s art, sweetie.

For the gay bears: Need a dickstracting movie? Find yourself a copy of "The Summer with Carmen". It's difficult to read the subtitles, for reasons.

I always feel a little weird when I hear something like "60 thousand kilometers".

Let's get with the metric system. That's 60 megameters. Probably best abbreviated as 60Mm. ("mm" is already millimeters, so definitely needs the uppercase.)

I bicycled today. Now I am sore and tired and sunburned. Grant is making dinner.

I was being clever and put my tiny tyre pump in its special bracket, rather than just leaving it in my rack bag… and now it has departed for its own adventure somewhere on the trail.

Weirdly responsive businesses... I ordered more license keys for Synology Surveillance Station to record my home cameras... and while I'm poking my way through the payment details my phone rings.

How to keep your sanity the next four years: Stop watching politics. Hide pages that harvest your outrage for clicks. Snooze/unfollow friends who repost outrage click-bait.

How to survive being online
Wee little union sign I painted in 2022, maybe? This week’s question comes to us anonymously: How do we survive being online? Erika and I bought a radio. For...

Yay, got some of the cameras recording today. Synology’s Surveillance Station is not particularly consumer-friendly. Neither are the cameras.

Now I just need more license keys… and I have to go through a reseller? What decade is this?

Sleeping in with Gizmo this morning.

She’s not a particularly cuddly cat and usually sleeps where I can’t touch her, so this felt like a step forward.

Ok, if anybody notices that I'm not following you any longer... I've just pushed you into a list so my feed is relatively free of smut and thus I can now feel free to browse BlueSky in waiting rooms, planes, buses, etc.
January 21, 2025 at 12:01 AM
I had been hoping that BlueSky could end up replacing the other various enshittified social networks.

But, it being saturated with dick pics works against that. I mean, would you send invites to your family or straight friends right now? Maybe some straight women would be into it, but…

I'm sorta surprised I'm gaining followers when I've posted bupkis.

I started off just seeing what the platform offers. I'm not a big twitter user, so there's a bit of a learning curve.

What has surprised me most is the amount of dick I see. When did that become normal? Is that a twitter thing?
