When I read this, I was assuming it would be the “other” In the Pines (related to the Leadbelly song covered and censored by Nirvana, but distinct) as done by Dolly Parton, the Grateful Dead, and every bluegrass band ever. Instead it’s yet a third version. Sadly, the least of the three.

Same--I aspire to the simplicity of Cluster, but usually can't stop myself from adding bridges and intros and such.

I can improvise in a group, but in the studio I always end up refining it.
