I think the big change here is that now it's going to be more adventure-like, instead of collecting 3-somethings to unlock the exit door.
And some smaller things, like power-ups, secrets, etc. Maybe also achievements.

Also the reason why I chose second game instead of the first one is because it's already being remade by a different person, so yeah.
