Looking for news about board games (historical, trick-taking), sports (all sorts) and politics.
I do fear the moment when I'll notice for the first time that something I did like or enjoy is actually genAI. I don't fear to look like I was duped. I fear I'll lose the ability to appreciate anything that's new to me.

"Feasting"... I don't know about that. I'm one of those for whom evetything unknown starts to lose any meaning. Yes, I'm keen and eager to doubt and examine evetything now. I don't feel like feasting, though. My world starts to crumble.

Which reminds me about that BGG post asking if there was a word for trick-takers that are neither shedders nor climbers.

Conundrum? Looked like a harmless card game?

Oh. Might become a staple at Gesellschaft für historische Simulation in nearby Braunfels, then.

Lots of things to look forward to! (Hope the weather wasn't too bad? Like dangerously bad?)

Well, next time you try, remember being curious is more important than getting rules right. I assume that's something you can relate with. As for the game, I'm curious to learn more. And if it's based in letter frequency, it might be possible to transfer it to other languages.

How's Woodlanders? It mixes one of my favorite genres with one of my favorite settings. And everyone knows a strong setting is important for a trick-taker. Speaking of which: Have you come across Hollandspiele's new Sykes-Picot???

Sigh. I'll watch out for it anyway. :)

What has Seiji Kanai done to Matt? R is an alright game, I think.

Clever. But I assume it's "balanced" for English then? And then probably not reeeaaally language independent? If it was, this and Sykes-Picot would certainly make my next order at Second Chance Games.
