B4 has significant issues - and I’m not even talking about performance which didn’t seem that bad. Metroid barely sells. No shot at $80. I don’t disagree though. Only a small % can command those prices. The industry is already hurting. They will turn more people off with these ridiculous prices.

They’ve been downsizing the Xbox for years based on the overall lack of sales. All platforms really, except Nintendo which still has a very healthy section. To me that was my one my first indicators that’s the industry is struggling way more than they would have you believe.

The stairs up to building have a name - they’re stoops. Really had to dig in the memory banks for that one. Haven’t seen or heard that in almost 30 years 🤪

I’m saying this from experience as someone who routinely interviews for positions on our team. We look internally first but will look external if the skillset doesn’t match the needs. Many benefits to staying internal. Teams will if they can.

They absolutely will promote from within if the requisite skill set and experience are there. These roles are probably very specialized and can likely only be filled by people who have been through several cycles.

I’m ok with a crash and reset tbh. I work in the industry so I’m keenly aware that could mean I lose my job. It stopped being about fun long ago anyways. The industry will rise again if necessary.
