More than any other platform, that one helps me track companies and their job postings, news, and hiring; supporting our alumni and graduating students in their early career networking; pushing news to our university’s wider alumni network, and so on.

I use the network for specific types of communication and networking. I originally set it up very intentionally to be professional with no bleed into my personal social network, which all other platforms have. I manage a group of 15,000 subscribers in historical archaeology.

I wish bsky allowed bookmarking or sensing myself direct messages… I send myself gear and useful stuff like this so I can find it later!

No interest in debating. Gender isn't sex and animals don't have gender. But your statement about "boy cows/girl cows" is Pollyanna at best (if you don't understand the messiness of nature), disingenuous at worst (if you do-but choose to pretend). Human variation in sex and gender is wonderful.

The $1bn annual CRM world relies entirely upon networking for students and new grads to get their foot in the door. This is a serious disadvantage to those that graduate from small programs or in regions that are removed from active CRM fieldwork.

I know most of you senior-level folk have established professional networks, but if you'd like to join the fair, you can try the same process with your MS or PhD institution. It may be possible to sign in using only a gmail address. I'll post more information here as I learn.
