Surely your body is you. You are your body. It what sense can someone literally be ‘born in the wrong body’? What does that actually mean?

Ok I wish you well and glad it worked out for you, I just think that the rapid increase in teens identifying as trans suggests something else is going on

I guess for me, growing up in the 70s/80s some teens identify as punks or goths etc and for many of us we were very gender neutral eg jeans trainers and sweatshirts. Long or short hair. I think there is a lot more in the way of unhelpful gender stereotypes and expectations now.

Maybe I am lucky that at age 59 I am on no medication at all

For most people it is about how to help young people to be comfortable in their own bodies while expressing themselves how they want to, rather than becoming lifetime medical patients

You cannot speak for the ‘autistic community’. Autistic people are individuals with different opinions. By all means share your own views but you don’t speak for others who may not agree with you

This is not correct. They are approved for use with a child with a diagnosis of precocious puberty, irrespective of gender identity. They are not approved for children who don’t have a medical diagnosis, again regardless of gender identity

They are not banned from sports, they are just expected to compete against others of the same sex
