Victorian Greens MP for Brunswick. Medical researcher, doctor. Authorised by T. Read, 1/31 Nicholson St, Brunswick East.
Great to see Jacinta Allan visiting Brunswick East Primary School today. Maybe she can finally fix the school's roof while she's there? I don't think she goes anywhere without her hard hat.

Thanks to my federal Greens colleagues for raising this issue and calling for equitable public school funding that doesn't depend on "voluntary" contributions from parents. (1/2)

$100k salary just to rent in Melbourne without housing stress? The great majority of Australian workers earn less than that.

The Greens want to cap rents and lower the price of housing so everyone can afford a home.

Infrastructure Vic has called for 30km speed limits on suburban roads!

Road trauma is the leading cause of death for Australian children. Lowering speed limits from 50 to 30km reduces pedestrian fatalities by 75% - and has little effect on travel times for cars. It's a no brainer.

Today's Productivity Commission report shows Victoria spends less per student than almost any other jurisdiction.

Schools in my electorate can't afford basic maintenance, and some students & teachers are suffering through summer with no aircon. Labor needs to properly fund our state schools now.

A great article in the Australian today accusing the Greens of doing our job. It’s shocking that the Greens are the only party consistently raising Israel's war crimes in the Victorian Parliament.

When it comes to subversion of democracy, this council has it all: double votes for business, votes for absent landlords, group voting tickets & massive donations kept secret during the campaign, obscuring conflicts of interest until it’s too late for voters to change their mind.

Labor’s big solution to years of excessive rent increases is saying VCAT *should* consider how big an increase is during a rent review…

What have they been considering in rent increase reviews if not the rent increase? 🧵

Labor may yell in the chamber and slam protesters in the media, but this is proof that they are feeling the pressure.

Thank you to everyone who worked to end this MoU.

Keep it up. Australia must stop arming Israel.

The Victorian Greens have written to the Premier requesting an inquiry into the 2024 Local Government Elections.

We have heard reports of alleged ballot theft and evidence that renters may have been disenfranchised by the move to postal votes. 🧵
