I am really going back and forth on ordering the Zoinks! reissue. I love this album, but I already have both colors of the original vinyl pressing and the CD. I don’t think I need a 4th one and I’ve been trying to be better about variant hoarding. I am curious what the bonus tracks though.

When I was a kid I never really liked Flint or Duke. Maybe it was because I didn’t have their figures. Maybe because they were too clean cut and boring in the cartoon? True to form, the Retro Classified version of Flint isn’t the most exciting, but it’s fine and better than the non-Retro version.

Thirty years ago in November 22nd of 1995, I saw Rocket From The Crypt live for the very first time. One of those easily identifiable turning points in my life that I can point at. I went in liking Rocket From The Crypt, I left thinking they were the greatest band in the history of the earth.

The Classified series has some figures that were never part of the vintage line of GI Joe, but several of them are pretty neat looking. One of the ones I liked enough to pick up is the Trench Viper. I think it’s the helmet that puts it over the top for me. Great figure.

The Iron Grenadier subline was after my time, so I have nothing from the vintage line to compare this Classified Iron Grenadier Trooper to. But I don’t need nostalgia to see how cool this figure is. I’ve been adding some more figures that didn’t come out in 82-86 just because they look neat.

Finally took pictures of some of the G.I. Joe Classified figures that have been piling up. Today is Dial Tone. Originally from the 1986, he wasn’t in my crew as a kid. But I find the Classified version highly enjoyable, especially his wacky backpack.
