If the mayor accomplishes this, I’d be happy too.

I’d be ok with naming fewer things after politicians and more things after scientists, teachers, and musicians.

I was at that show. My wife is in the background of the first photo. Solo and with the band, Devon's performed some jaw-dropping sets. The one in the dark at the Pencil Factory in Hudson was also a stunner.

I fell for it as well, though I'd be surprised that they ever get back together given the circumstances around their breakup. Deeply disappointed regardless.

Devon Welsh's solo records are tremendous. Always worth a listen.

I'm so sorry Woj. It's very tough.

This isn't Lander's first rodeo, having been arrested in 2015 supporting striking car wash workers and 2018 protesting an unfair tax bill.

Ranked him second, didn't rank Cuomo or Eric Adams at all.

While it could be a privacy issue on her phone, I checked my privacy settings on mine and (finally) deleted the app. I'll access via Safari until some other privacy issue arises.

Exactly right. The prices of domestically produced goods will rise to meet the prices of imported goods. Domestic producers income will rise but so will inflation, broadly.

My mother took me to one of their City Center shows - we were sitting quite close to the stage. My strongest memory of it was during the "Bruce" sketch, Eric Idle looked right at me and and tossed me a giant can of Fosters, but an older kid in front of us grabbed it before I could catch it.

I’m a little amazed that artists still use the other site given its hate, but then also surprising that they also continue to engage on Spotify, which works against fair compensation. I guess both platforms still have greater reach.

To be fair, my Mastodon feed includes a lot of progressives calling out today's Nazis. Relevant and current with none of the bizarre engagement-bait that makes Threads such a weird experience.
