California consistently holds the title of having the highest poverty rate in the US. 5 million Californians were under the CPM poverty line (on average $39,900 yearly for a family of two adults and two children). Child poverty jumped from 9.0% in fall 2021 to 13.8% in early 2023.…

California is the 4th largest economy in the world… yet nearly 1 in 3 Californians live at or near the poverty line. I volunteered at a local food bank with @musicares last week and saw it firsthand. Hardworking families are struggling just to put food on the table…
