I was in Syracuse helping Mom replace her 2007 Prius ... with 2025 red Prius! We also did Easter service at All Saints church, a much more colorful place now, run by an openly gay priest, and with a Congolese refugee community. We walked around Meadowbrook, watched Conclave, and killed the Pope!

I've watched with amusement as the so-called defenders of free speech who run our government delete and suppress any kind of speech they don't like ("diversity", "lgbtq", "climate", etc.) So how is it that my go-to climate research government website has survived?

We saw this show "Nobody Loves You" last night at ACT. For those of you in SF, I reccommend it! Funny and talented singing. Note I am not a musicals person, usually, but this was a good one. Original work from an up-and-coming playwright.

Our last day in Japan. Tom and I went to the top of the Sky Tree tower and got a great view of Mount Fuji coming out to sunbathe!

Skiing in Japan! Here with Tom, BJ, Matt, Jon, and Tom 2 for our annual ski trip. This was at the top of Goryu in Hakuba valley yesterday. It's been snowing like crazy. Japow!

The DOGE kids would make great porn. Just sayin.

(Yes, these twinks have root access to the US treasury.)

Spent the last week in Syracuse with my sister helping Mom recover from heart surgery (to fix an aortic aneurysm that would have been fatal otherwise). Mom's home now, and so am I. Lisa flew home today. This is me & mom & nurses, last day in hospital.

My neighbor at my rental house told me that her daughter's husband has just been deported. The daughter lives in NYC. Her husband is Macedonian here on student visa. They are all working professionals, no crime involved.

Finally, a public figure willing to speak the truth directly to the president. trump is sitting in the church a few years from the minister. She's speaking directly to him. She drops the mercy-bomb at 12:30. But the whole 15 minutes are worth watching. Spread this far!

4/But here's a much better idea entirely. GET THE F OFF SOCIAL MEDIA ENTIRELY. Get outdoors and meet up with people. Visit your friends in person. Call them on the phone. The world really was a better place before social media existed. If you want rebel, do it in reality.

3/So, kids, if you want your speech to survive on the internet, you'll have to build your own platform. Learn how to buy a domain, set up WordPress, host a server. Just like Gen X did in the 90s when we invented the internet.

2/To those who are concerned with internet censorship, yes, there is a real concern here. Nobody likes it when the government censors their speech. On the other hand, nobody likes it when platform owners suppress their speech either.

1/I read the impending fear of apocalypse caused by the government's TikTok ban with great amusement. I've never used TikTok before and quite likely never will. The USA survived and was arguably a better place before TikTok, and will survive perfectly well without it. So will you.

Hi BlueSky! I'm going to start here with something blue, in the sky. I took this picture of Neptune and its moon Triton from my back yard in San Francisco last Monday night with my Celestron Origin scope. (I lead software engineering at Celestron, btw!)

Voyager 2's picture for comparison.
