Ok, so you don't get the scribbly dynamism of poetryschool.com/poems/how-to... or flaubert.univ-rouen.fr/manuscrits but in compensation it's possible (I haven't done it) to analyse the development of a text, colour-coding the lines according to age/number-of-changes.

When I program (I could do poems the same way), a click lets me save and recover versions. I can create branches and compare versions side-by-side. With a click I can back-up to the cloud. In my will I can leave instructions to make the back-up visible to all. Nothing's lost - even my mistakes.
