The LNP is an electoral basket case, thanks largely to Climate 200, and now it's Labor who are destroying the planet. Is Climate 200 going to back candidates in Labor seats in the future?

The happy news is that the opposition took similarly terrible policies to the last federal election and got trounced. They will not be in power again for many years. The sad news is that this gives the Labor government carte blanche and they're expanding existing fossil fuel projects.

Well done Amanda!

That makes sad reading. But @georgemonbiot.bsky.social your career has not been largely futile. Imagine how much worse things would be if you and others didn't bring these things to our attention.

Could you please invite the AJP to the next such event. We pride ourselves on being the strongest party when it comes to climate issues.

Interesting point. The AJP proposes fiercely centrist changes to the tax system that will steer investments away from property and into more productive parts of the economy. With our changes, owners will actually live in your block and share your interests.

A Fairer Tax System
The economic systems in Australia are not working for animals, people or the planet. Inequality is growing in Australia and most people (particularly younger people) aren’t getting a fair go.

Good point. The Animal Justice Party aims to make homes affordable, without crashing the market. In our view, the best way to make things better for renters is to make home ownership possible, like it used to be.

Affordable Housing for All
The Animal Justice Party believes that secure housing is a fundamental human right for everyone, that must be prioritised over money-making for the few.

Thanks Pat. As far as I can see, we are the only party unequivocal and open in our support for offshore wind, and I think we deserve credit for that.

Great photo. A well named insect - we have a native hibiscus that gets lots and lots of these beautiful creatures.

I am the AJP candidate for Cunningham and have come out strongly in support of the wind farm. I was invited by Responsible Futures to a forum this week (see www.theillawarraflame.com.au/let-me-fight...) and stated my support for the project. Everyone was very friendly and professional.

More people sleeping rough in my area than 5 years ago. Housing is totally unaffordable for most people. Many with mortgages are crushed by the repayments. This isn't a recipe for national happiness, so I'm not surprised.
