Come on now, good terms is vastly different from "I love my 6 parents equally". Half of us on the cast are polyamorous so we have both research and real life experience to draw from on this. And again, the transition was rough on the asker at age 10. I can't assume they were a 10 year old bigot.

AITA for not making the people in my parents polycule parents of the groom for my wedding?
My parents were married for 15 years when they opened their relationship and became a polycule with four other people (2 men and 2 women). I (28m) was 10 at the time. The transition was rough and I never bonded very closely with the stepparents in my life. But I'm not on bad terms with anyone and they are invited to my wedding later this year. The problem is how included they'll be and how they'll be addressed. I was upfront that my parents are going to be my parents and the others will be family/guests. This has hurt feelings and angered my parents who told me I have 6 parents who are all equally my parents and not just two. My mom even told me that if I had been younger they never would've told me who my birth parents are and who my non-birth parents are. That's how much it means to them. She told me to only acknowledge her and dad as my parents is saying we're not a family.
This is still an ongoing problem and something I don't know if I'm on the ride side of or not. Making them all my parents for the day is not what I want and it's not how I feel. But their feelings are hurt by this decision so now I'm left with upsetting/angering everyone or sticking to what I truly feel and want.
My fiancée fully has my back and supports me regardless of what choice I made.

Anyone had this Costco premade Old Fashioned? I feel like I've only had a couple bad bottles from other brands and had way more surprisingly great ones. I almost hope this isn't super good 🤣

So excited to dig into the 2025 Monster Manual! With all the new D&D updates coming out I feel like monsters/ animals/ NPCs on the whole needed a little touch up and so far I am really liking the changes. Especially listing out the creatures habitat or treasure and listing any gear it may have.

I need to spend more time with the various Keywords and I haven't interacted with the various debuffs from weapon masteries but from what I have seen I think I like them.

Emanation Definition from D&D 2024 players guide An Emanation is an area of effect that extends in straight lines from a creature or an object in all directions. The effect that creates an Emanation specifies the distance it extends.

An Emanation moves with the creature or object that is its origin unless it is an instantaneous or a stationary effect.

An Emanation’s origin (creature or object) isn’t included in the area of effect unless its creator decides otherwise.

Weapon Masteries including Each weapon has a mastery property, which is usable only by a character who has a feature, such as Weapon Mastery, that unlocks the property for the character. The properties are defined below.

Cleave
If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.

Graze
If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.

Nick
When you make the extra attack of the Light property, you can make it as part of the Attack action instead of as a Bonus Action. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.

Push
If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can push the creature up to 10 feet straight away from yourself if it is Large or smaller.

Sap
If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.

Slow
If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.

Topple
If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.

What has been your favorite #D&D 2024 change or addition? Mine is the rewording of spells like Spirit Guardians actually doing something to the creatures on the turn you cast it. This is more or less how we used the old version but that was to lessen the upkeep on the DMs turns. #ttrpg

The D&D spell Spirit Guardians which says "Protective spirits flit around you in a 15-foot Emanation for the duration. If you are good or neutral, their spectral form appears angelic or fey (your choice). If you are evil, they appear fiendish.

When you cast this spell, you can designate creatures to be unaffected by it. Any other creature’s Speed is halved in the Emanation, and whenever the Emanation enters a creature’s space and whenever a creature enters the Emanation or ends its turn there, the creature must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 3d8 Radiant damage (if you are good or neutral) or 3d8 Necrotic damage (if you are evil). On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage. A creature makes this save only once per turn.

Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. The damage increases by 1d8 for each spell slot level above 3."

Wow...Hunter x Hunter will just kill any character. Like, surprise not only are they dead but they died in a terrible way. 10/10 Killua just said that Gon was Light Itself.

Oh, you watched Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul? Ha, I discussed the philosophy of modern tech and cuddled this dog. (We couldn't get the fight to work due to the tv's Netflix app being garbage. We had to stream it from our phone to the tv which worked???)

We are throwing a fall/ Halloween / just cuz party this weekend. I planned on getting rid of all our leaves from our big ass tree but I was wondering if there is a decorative aspect to like leaving them/ moving them in piles?
