August may have been good, but I don't know because I was flying back from dropping a kid at college. Priorities; no regrets. I did take this shot out the airplane window on my Pixel 7a, somewhere over central California. The next night the smoke from the Bear Gulch fire was in the way.

We used to call #Edmonds, Washington "Deadmonds", and joke about rolling the sidewalks up at 6pm. Not for a while now, though -- vibrant nightlife on a cool end-of-summer Saturday evening.

Well, I went out last night and tonight, and got a few with the mountains, but none of them nearly as spectacular as I'd hoped for. The clouds were gorgeous, but the glare was just too much until the moon got close to the horizon. (also major "rule of thirds" violations...) Next month!

Luckily, I turned 90 degrees to the north and noticed Mt. Baker trying to hide in the haze.
