I graduated in 2005 and I didn’t take it. 🤷🏼‍♀️. My SO graduated in 2008 and enlisted at 18, but he didn’t take it through his high school, he took it the summer after graduation. Maybe there are different graduation requirements by state? We both went to HS in IL.

Idk but it seemed unnecessary to me. There was chatter online at one point that Project2025 included a reinstatement of the draft so I looked to see. I didn’t see anything explicitly stating that, but the compulsory ASVAB stood out. Idk people making thr draft claims got it from that?

There’s an initiative in Project 2025 to require all schools that receive federal funding to administer the ASVAB to all high school Jrs, I believe. As I understand it, right now students can opt to take it through school, but… why make EVERYONE take it if you don’t intend to use that for soemthing?

Eh… in this case I’d think not. SEPTA is regional public transit in and around Philly. I would think they would either be employed by the commonwealth of PA or the county or city of Philadelphia. Not federal employees.
