The canoes likely were shared among community members and stored at designated points. Users would typically bury the canoes in sediment in waist- to chest-deep water so they wouldn't dry out or prevent them from freezing.

It's the third-oldest canoe discovered in North America. The two oldest were found in Florida, dating back 7,000 years.

Dating of some of the other canoes discovered at Lake Mendota include a 1,200-year-old canoe, a 3,000-year-old canoe, a 4,500-year-old canoe, and a 2,000-year-old canoe.

When I was in my teens and 20s, I loved Larry Elmore.

Not so much any more. His people seem static. The "depth of focus" is completely lacking. (Eveything is in focus; it all seems on the same plane.)

Even then, only 7 of the 18 Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee voted for the articles of impeachment.

Even then, 40% of all Republicans in the House were willing to vote AGAINST impeachment.

Even then, 33% of all Republicans in the Senate were willing to acquit.

The tariff rollback even included baked goods. Canada and Mexico produce bread for border states, but specialty breads, biscuits, cakes, and pastries largely come from Italy or India.

Many of the rollbacks Trump announced apply to ALL foreign nations, not just those that signed trade deals.

His tariffs on oranges cheered Florida and Texas. His tariffs on tomatoes thrilled Florida, Georgia, N. Carolina, Ohio, & Tennessee.

Oops, those tariffs are gone. (This super-pisses off Florida. It's too hot to grow tomatoes there in the summer. So they missed the "window of protection".)
