If you got the procedure done at a hospital, they are supposed to have all itemized charges listed on their website in chargemaster data. You can see what the charges are (gross), what the cash price is, and what the negotiated rates are with insurance plans. The difference is wild, as you see.

I think that Swalwell said that there are many GOP reps who would not sign the discharge petition, but would vote for the petition.

The discharge petition apparently needs 218 signatures, and it doesn't matter how many people are sworn in, so adding another R won't change the number needed. They currently have 217 signatures, so adding another R non-signer won't reduce the number of signatures.
