Short ride with my Nimbus. Still 13° C in December, not too bad to have another ride with the old iron. Beside the speedometer not working I have to improve the clutch, which is way too strong to handle.

1. I installed a new battery 6V 12Ah, it has a cap to cover the poles.
2. I changed the holder for the license plate. I thought a plastic one does not match the character of the bike, so I replaced it with a stainless steel holder.

Minor improvements for my Nimbus:

Finally my 1953 Nimbus got registered ✌🏻
After fixing some technical isues, last Thursday the registration happened.
Now we are ready to go:
4 cylinder 746 ccm, 22 HP, open valve drive, hard tail. Basically a construction from 1934, it was the first year of production.

Finally my 1953 Nimbus got registered ✌🏻

My 1953 Nimbus Motorcycle, which was never registered in Germany, got today the Individual Operating Permit through technical inspection, so now it can be registered and operated on German roads 🎊

Working on my 1953 Nimbus Motorcycle. Rear and brake light were not working, so I found a broken contact board (pic 1) in the housing and replaced it with a spare part (pic 2). While the rear light is now working, the brake light is still off.

New fuel hose installed, no more gas leakage. The parking light is now working. For the rear light and the brake light I need a new contact plate which I've ordered in Denmark. And I had to reduce the motor oil, way too much in the engine.

Final mounting of a side pocket on my Moto Guzzi.
Because originally the frame of the pocket was to low and the pocket got possibly contact with the exhaust pipe I used 2 stainless steel mounting plates (build for hand rails) to mount it higher. Works great 👍🏻
