'The Walk' also has some solid scary shit in it. Especially the voice on the phone and the shadow in the pool. Actually proper spookytimes.

The problem of metaphor again. The show used the conspiracy lore as a way of being absolutely fucking furious about US capitalism, imperialism, political corruption, social injustice, etc. What did people take from it? "Hey maybe the government IS putting microchips in vaccines!" Sigh.

Of course it doesn't make sense. They don't need it to. All they need is the aesthetic semblance of something that makes sense, that they can insist constitutes a valid argument.

It would taste slightly more sickly. But don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

Animals have the traits they have because of the ecological niche they evolved in and survive in. There are variations but within overarching similarities. That's why mammals and marsupials are so similar. They evolved separately to fit the same kind of niche. It is the same with political parties.
