Just worth emphasizing that all of these elected Republicans who like to feign moral superiority to Trump in some measurable way wilt at any whiff of his retribution. Cowards. Failed leaders.

Great reporting from NYT on the awful recent SCOTUS decision.

Full of useful info/context but the critical thing it does is highlight the *massive* differences in how Democrats & Republicans view, use, & extend or restrain executive power, for 3/4 of a century

Allowing this toxic dynamic to fester in medical @ training staff for an NBA franchise is insane. Honestly I hadn't poured over the full transcript of the secret press conference (dumb) so I didn't expect this aspect of the story. Wild stuff.

Thought these visuals from NYT on Sunday were good — simple and informative. They let you sit with the sheer volume of personal data the trump admin is pushing to access & all the ways they can access it if doge is unchecked.

Lots of scary things happening but the personal data aspect is v v bad.

A gem from @robmahoney.bsky.social on Luka's return to Dallas from inside the arena + the countless layers of fallout.

"Trading Luka was the kind of decision that will set the Mavs back in more ways than their leadership seems ready to understand."

Well worth a full read. This graph stuck w/ me.

I'm ecstatic about the WI election results. Huge win in keeping the rule of law alive. I also think it's important people see it in the full context of broader political implications (or lack thereof).

Something like 2.4M people voted in WI yesterday

*3.4M+* voted in WI for Pres in 2024

No one should underestimate vance btw, for a few reasons, none of which have to do with his ability to govern.

1. He's young

2. He's ambitious

3. He's insecure despite notoriety disproportionate to his talent.

Classic sycophant. He'll do what trump wants.

Before you react to and post about the 10 Dems who voted to censure (not censor) Al Green, take a few mins to google their names + election results. Most are in swing districts.

I have no problem with Green's defiance btw. I'm mixed on its overall impact but this post is just important context.

Splitting the center-left/left/far left coalition (Democrats) with a liberal 3rd party in our system all but ensures the right/far right coalition holds/gains power.

Liberals have to court almost 2x the moderate support conservatives have to, to win elections in competitive territory 🤷‍♂️.
