Yes, they're not concerned about these beings' loss of life, rather their own loss of income due to being prevented from slaughtering themselves for profit. It looks like now, thankfully, they will receive nothing for holding out on the government payout they were originally offered.

I thank my parents for bringing me up in a tidy, not overly disinfected home. I believe it's why I'm only allergic to penicillin and don't suffer from asthma, nor other chronic and seasonal respiratory ailments.
