I don't know all the backstory here but I loved the Aftermath trilogy. I believe they were the first non-Legends star wars books I read and I remember being absolutely gripped by them. So thanks!

I deliberately avoid Hunter, despite it being the most protected way to get to work, because the stop lights make cycling basically impossible. I do wonder what those numbers would be otherwise as I can't imagine I'm the only person who does this.

This is so exciting. I certainly hope the city and the developer having been working together over the previous months to ensure work can begin shortly. Just terrific news for the city and the North End specifically.

I suspect you are looking at several of them in the video

I do appreciate Radley for answering the question "what would happen if the online comment section turned into a person"?

This has gotta be Radley, right?

The thing Canadian politics is missing is having twice as many people in the space that could reasonably be accommodated. And I'll never tire of seeing Cabinet jammed together on a random bench up front. Just terrific stuff

We couldn't get people (including parents) to stop driving ONTO THE PLAYGROUND at our kids school. Now there are pylons. Suddenly it is off limits to vehicles. Infuriating.

Politically this should have been owned up to immediately. It's been left to fester and it's poisoned the whole project. It was very clearly a monumental screw up by someone(s) in the city organization under the mayor's direction. Someone should have lost their job. Real simple.

That was a great story Joey. Appreciate the leg work. This gift doesn't bother me that much, but I found it super helpful and interesting to see how various councilors responded to your question. Good to have people on the record about this

Gotta beat the traffic back to Mississauga

Certainly frightening there. Driver obliviousness is a real problem. Still so many driving with their head in the clouds or in their lap. I'm not sure how to do it, but we need way more cyclists filling the lanes so drivers can't possibly be surprised by our presence

I've been happy with a lot of the effort made down in the lower city recently (pedestrain head starts, no rights on red in place etc). This will be even better when Main and King are 2 wayed. Are similar things happening on the mountain?

Strongly encourage you don't read this article, which is so laden with passive language you'd think this sweet little 8 year old was carrying around an active SUV tractor beam.

On the surface this seems like a bit of a laugh. An 'only in Hamilton' type story. But an occupied bus got hijacked. If this was any other type of vehicle the reporting would be very different.

Tempted to report this post on account of the photo hurting my feelings.

What sort of recourse is there here? Like maybe members of the committee have good reasons for not being there, but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect people to attend meetings. And if they can't do it, they should resign. Seems obvious.

Thank God for Rick Westhead, the only journalist in this country who seems to give a crap about this stuff. How Hockey Canada can accept the allegations as true and simultaneously essentially impose no sanction is mind boggling (but expected).

It is tough to write military history that balances the storytelling to accurately portray the bravery of participants while at the same time not glorifying it. To also wrap his histories in a patriotic blanket which doesn't feel jingoistic should be impossible. But he did it. This is a huge loss

Thanks for stopping to help Joey. A lot of people would have just kept walking by.

I'll preface by saying I don't know anything about this process, but I have to assume the various agencies start working on their budgets well in advance. This directive came out like a week ago. Is it realistic to expect these groups to pivot on a dime like that? Genuine question

Totally. But I certainly don't miss buying a ticket for a specific time back in my student days and just kinda hoping they would, like, let me on the bus at that time. Felt like a low bar.

Really shocking Greyhound fizzled out given their incredibly popular "eff you" approach to customer service.

I tend to agree. But before you heist I demand a 10 minute montage of you getting the gang together. Don't tell me real life doesn't have montages with incredible needle drops
