Can't imagine an iPad without 3g/4g/5g connectivity - even my first OG iPad was WAN connected on the ATT $25/month unlimited plan - it was worth it.
I've tried an iPad WiFi only, and it's less than half of the real utility...

One thing to note, and I'm not sure everyone has caught this, is that 32-bit Intel CoreSolo/CoreDuo machines had a very short support window - they launched with Tiger, and it was over with Snow Leopard...
