The whole reason things are manufactured overseas is because consumers won't pay for items priced at the domestic labor rate. So if manufacturing comes back the cost of the tarrif is replaced by the cost of higher labor. Just as economically unviable for the small buisnesses. It's all so stupid!!

He keeps saying foreign governments will pay the tariffs. That would imply that the US pays the tariffs levied by other countries. Someone should ask him how much the US gov pays to foreign govs for the tariffs they levy on the US. So stupid.

Did you know when there is a threat of a US government shutdown all extracuricular activities at US military schools around the world come to a screeching halt? My school is in the DoDea league. We had all our meets cancelled because no one is allowed to travel to an away game. Sucks for the kids.

With the hard stop to all aid except Isreal there will be power vaccuum all around the world. That vaccuum will be filled by other countries. The USA has ceded its influence and utterly diminished itself on the world stage. Time for the EU to step up and step in. Or China - take your pick.

I'm a birthright US citizen. My parents were not US citizens when they had me. I'd be happy for them to revoke my citizenship if they would then STOP TAXING ME! I don't live in the US and I want nothing to do with what it has become.
