I mean on an individual level, if you have all your games on Xbox, the next Xbox playing all those games is an advantage over the steam Machine which can't play them

If i bought every game I play on gamepass day 1 in a year at their launch price it would cost more than that, even if i bought the entire back catalogue at £3.68 it would cost me more than that. I like the flexibility

I doubt the team that designs icons are the same people who make the actual operating system. They are most likely controlled by a completely different arm of microsoft aswell.
