And to fix all the scratching on the unit itself, I got papa dbrand to provide a nice skin for the inner part, and replacement plates for the outer part.

True to the seller's listing, the APU on the PS5 was completely dry in the middle, explaining why it was constantly overheating.
A quick refresh of the Liquid Metal and hopefully it's fixed. I mean. It still boots, but I'll have to do a proper test to see if it still overheats. XD

It's a public holiday in Japan today. So I figured I'd spend it reapplying Liquid Metal to this dirt cheap PS5 I bought off Mercari. Hopefully I can't make it any worse. 😅

After like 8 years of gaming, the WASD keys on my ASUS keyboard started wearing off.
I contacted ASUS support, but of course they apparently don't have any replacement keys at all for this keyboard anymore. 😐
Luckily some cool (revenue) cats were able to hook me up in Singapore. 🤩

I was pretty surprised/humbled/had to have a bit of a chuckle when I discovered that the Bluesky iOS client is using my open source image cropper library.
Mastodon’s iOS client is also using it, so between these two and Threads, I’m apparently an active code contributor to all three platforms. 🤣

Made it safely back to Tokyo! Singapore was absolutely incredible and I'm sad it's over already.
The last time I brought back some SG snacks for my team, they deleted it all in less than 2 days haha. Let's see how long these last. 🤣
