She's a self taught painter who came up through the Thai film industry. Here's her painting of Apichatpong Weerasethakul who has done some wonderful work with Tilda Swinton among others

Saw this piece at the Whitney over the holidays. Edward Hopper, Seven A.M., from 1948. According to Josephine Hopper, he knocked this one out in 16 days. Speedy turnaround. I love how strong the sense of place is. This store is right on the borderline where the town stops and the forest resumes.
