Just trying to make sense of TikTok would be a second job! I’ve been told you have to post at least 3 videos a day and stitch/interact on multiple videos a day just to get a toe hold. I noped out at that point, I’m a slow enough writer as it is.

Those authors have VAs doing a lot of the behind the scenes stuff. Something I can’t afford. I was hoping to train my kids up to help with my website and social media but so far my efforts have not borne fruit… I’d love to do a Kickstarter, but the amount of work involved gives me a panic attack!

There is SOOOO MUCH to do and keep up with, it’s overwhelming. I have days I want to crawl into a blanket fort and not come out.

Part 2 of the Nevers. Technically I can’t say if I’d love it or not, because it isn’t available anywhere to buy or stream 😭

Audio books are purchased (a la carte) on Spotify. I receive 50% of list price as I distribute to Spotify through Findaway. I don’t know what deal trad publishers have with them.

I would assume it is a distributor your audio publisher is using? Spotify is not easy to access and I can’t see a pirate jumping through the hoops to do it, when they have much easier sites to share files 🙁

My audio books are all on Spotify - I reach them through Findaway Voices. I earn significantly better money from Spotify (who pay 50% of list price) than the teeny tiny pittance Audible pays.
