That’s not necessarily the case. The drugs can give people an opportunity to quieten their brain’s hyper awareness of all things food. It’s not a cure but it is some peace and it can allow time to work on longer term strategies without the panic.

I briefly stored a friend’s possessions amongst which was a gun. I live alone; hopelessly afraid of the dark and I reached for that gun (not 000) on the one occasion I heard someone outside during the night. Just cos it was there. Stupid and dangerous. Not there = No risk.
